Biocompatible: Crucial in various medical and cosmetic applications where skin contact is involved. Our adhesive is designed to minimize the risk of allergic reactions or irritation, making it suitable for sensitive skin.

Hypoallergenic: This means they are less likely to cause allergic reactions compared to standard adhesives. They are often formulated without common allergens such as latex or certain types of adhesives that can trigger skin sensitivities.

All overlay patches are shipped by USPS mail. Orders are shipped in a teal envelope unless the order is over eight items, in this case, we ship in a larger manila padded envelope or box.

Applying the underlay patch is quite simple.  Just peel half of the backing paper to expose the adhesive and apply it to the skin.  Then peel the other half and smooth out.  The sensor can then be applied on top of the patch.  Cutting a hole in the patch is not required prior to application.  Here is an animated video for some assistance.

There is a saying in the medical field "Low and Slow".  Pull the tape parallel to the skin while holding the skin down.  Never remove the tape in one quick motion as this will cause trauma and damage to the skin.

The tape adhesive is made from Acrylate and some skin types are more sensitive than others.  If you are unsure if you would respond negatively to the product please ask for a sample to try before you make a purchase.

The skin is a very complex organism, and every person will react differently to the adhesive.  We work diligently to hopefully one day find that one adhesive that works for every skin type.

Here are some tips and suggestions that might improve your experience if you decide to give it another try.

  • While alcohol is commonly used for cleaning and sanitizing,
it's not always ideal for applied adhesives.
  • Body washes, laundry detergents, and perfumes that contain
skin conditioners, like Dove Soap, can leave residues that affect tape
adhesion. It's advisable to refrain from using body lotions or creams after
    showering to optimize adhesion.
  • For oily skin, gentle exfoliation can be beneficial.
  • Ensure the application area is thoroughly dry before
applying, allowing at least 30 minutes.
  • Consider using a product like Skin-Tac or IV prep for added
adhesion, applying it to the entire area.
  • When removing the paper backing, leave the outer tabs on the
patch for last to minimize contact with the adhesive. For assistance, please
refer to our instructional video at https://stick2hope.com/crackandpeel.
  • Choose a patch placement location that experiences minimal
rubbing from other body parts or clothing.
  • If necessary, trim any hair using a dry razor.
  • Changes in diet, medication, or menstrual cycles can
    potentially affect adhesion.
  • While it pains me to admit, our product isn't suitable for
everyone and the adhesive may not adhere to all skin types.

his does not happen often but at times the tape may release when there is an extensive amount of sweat and or rubbing of clothing.  The idea is not to remove the tape but once you shower the adhesive will re-adhere to the skin and continue supporting the device. It seems odd but the tape does not perform like a band-aid, it's resilient.

The color differences you are seeing are due to how the computer monitor, mobile device, and printer renders color.  The printer reproduces color using the CYMK mode and all your displays use the RGB mode.  The RGB mode can reproduce many more colors than the printer.

Our patches are custom-cut to fit the device just right.

Dexcom G6 / Underlay patches are cut to the size of 8.9 x 6.7 cm (3.5 x 2.6 in.)
FreeStyle Libre 1 & 2 are cut at 6.3 cm (2.5 in.)
Guardian is cut to the size of 8.9 x 6.9 cm (3.54 x 2.75 in.)
FreeStyle Libre 3 is cut at 5.3 cm (2.1 in.)

There are many ways to remove the adhesive but we personally like baby oil as it leaves behind a pleasant smelling aroma. We have also heard regular deodorant works well.
